Term: 6-month contract with possibility of becoming permanent

Expected start date: As soon as possible, as late as December 2019

As an ideal candidate, you have experience and education in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Crucially, you are well versed in communicating with clients and stakeholders (internal or external) and have foundational bench strength in project management through attention to detail & process, or experience.


Lead the design & management of research projects within timelines and budgets, working closely with the entire team. This includes:

  • Being the first client point of contact and designer/overseer of the research process.
  • Questionnaire and discussion guide development.
  • Conducting in-depth interviews.
  • Designing the analytical plan for data analysis.
  • Reporting – PowerPoint and written reports.
  • Help manage and be a knowledgeable resource for the team’s analysts, interns and contractors.
  • Assist the CEO and Executive Director in the successful execution of their projects on an ad hoc basis.


  • Minimum 2 years of research experience in quantitative survey methods is a requirement, with qualitative research (focus groups, depth interviews) an added bonus.
  • Experience in or exposure to public affairs consulting, either through work in partisan politics, advocacy, or reputation management in a corporate setting.
  • Minimum client management experience of 3 years, including some exposure to business development/proposal writing.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • University or college degree/diploma in a quantitative social science field, with completion of research methods coursework.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is not a requirement, but an asset.
  • Skilled in common advanced analysis techniques employed in survey research (multiple regression, clustering, factor analysis).
  • Driven to succeed – self-starter, with a record of getting things done.
  • Detail-oriented – you are someone who is picky, relentless, and focused on delivering error-free, high-quality work.
  • Innovative – you think of interesting and alternative ways to improve the quality of the work we output.
