Ignatieff looks to woo women voters with Working Families Tour
Michael Ignatieff christened this week’s travels the “Working Families Tour,” but there’s a more specific target between the lines of his policy priorities — the women within these families.
At stops in Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland and Labrador, the Liberal leader is aiming to talk to would-be voters about pensions, youth employment, job training, child care, and senior care. These are the very issues that poll highest among women, Abacus Data’s David Coletto found when he analyzed a recent poll for iPolitics.
“There is, in public opinion, clear differences between men and women,” Coletto said.
