As an experienced researcher and manager, Alex is not only able to design research solutions for clients, but also to help integrate results and recommendations into the strategic plans and organizational structures of those organizations.
Alex is passionate about working with small and medium sized organizations (SMEs) to implement and manage effective strategies and processes. By bringing tools usually reserved for large firms, like scenario planning, risk management and performance measurement, he enjoys being able to help those organizations build success.
As a senior member of the Abacus team, Alex has helped design research solutions and provide strategic advice to clients across a wide range of industries, including transportation, education, retail, financial services, energy, and natural resources.
He leads Abacus Data’s Business Strategy and Implementation practice, and manages the development and testing of all online surveys and panels. Alex is also responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Abacus Data, and oversees the company’s accounting department.
Alex earned his BA (honours) in Political Science and Economics from Carleton University, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant.
